Q

so what’s your style of photograph?

A

I think it varies since I specialize in portraiture, working with all different types of people always keeps me trying new stuff and mixing it up. That’s the fun part! Ultimately though, I’ve spent most of my career and time cultivating a style where creative photography and lifestyle photography meet.

and do you shoot dslr or film?

A

Both! I don’t like choosing sides haha. I love how completely different they are, and how they each bring such different styles and perspectives to the table.

what do you use for lighting?

A

Honestly, I prefer to go all natural most of the time. I assume you’re talking artificial though, sooo my go-to gear with lighting as far as portraits go is super simple… I have and use both strobes and umbrellas. Pretty much for indoor shoots only though. I always carry a few speedlights or a ring with me during both outdoor and indoor shoots. For most portrait work, a speed or a ring is perfect (Especially if it is outdoor, but the photos still need a little help. Those don’t overdo it, still keeping the general essence and feel of natural light.) I keep it pretty minimal though. :)
